My present research is on the theory of aerosols. I am studying the formation of particles from the gas phase, growth by condensation and coagulation, evaporation under intense thermal conditions, and particle interaction with radiation. This work has application in combustion, the formation and emission of polluting aerosols, and the transmission of laser radiation in the atmosphere.
In the past I have also worked on the magnetic filtration of fine particles and on the classical and quantum theory of the Yang-Mills field.
