Reason for coming to WVU to study Physics?
Both parents were WVU graduates and I knew Stan Farr personally. I had a scholarship for winning 1st prize in the state science fair. Because I could make more money, I asked for the scholarship be turned into an undergraduate lab instructor position.
Return visits to WVU as an alumni
Attending football games and picnics over the years, once to receive distinguished alumni awaard, and sporadically for collaborations with Prof. Koepke.
Most rewarding Physics course(s) taken
Modern Physics with Rex Ford and Stat Thermo with Art Pavlovic
Favorite Physics professor(s)
Ford, Pavlovic, Williamson, Thomas, Levine and Jefimenko.
Involvement in undergraduate research projects
In my time at WVU, undergraduate research was not common. However, the electronics labs taught by Wade Temple were the nearest thing to it. Several of us also carried out astronomy observing projects off-campus.
