Postdoctoral Researcher

Plasma Physics | Tu Group

Poorya Hosseini received his B.S. in electrical engineering from the K. N. Toosi University of Technology (previously Radio and Television School), Tehran, Iran, where he got interested in electromagnetic radio signals. He attended graduate school at the University of Colorado Denver, Colorado, USA, where his Ph.D. dissertation was on electromagnetic wave propagation in the Earth's ionosphere and magnetosphere. He then spent two years at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, working on science-dedicated radar networks and space missions within the Space Exploration Sector. His research interests include the observational and numerical analysis of electromagnetic waves in space plasmas.
