Field Trips
Immerse your students in the exciting world of science and research through a field trip to the WVU Department of Physics and Astronomy! During field trips, students have the opportunity to tour labs, attend a show at the WVU Planetarium and Observatory, and learn about the innovation of our researchers. Department field trips and career sessions are tailored to students in grades 6 and up.We offer field trips by appointment from Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 4:45pm. The group size limit for field trips is 60. Specific date availability is based on our personnel and the academic calendar at WVU. Bus and car parking permits are provided at no cost to visitors. Field trips must be scheduled at least one month in advance.
