In the Department of Physics and Astronomy, we take our comfort as seriously as we take our science.
The Undergraduate Physics Lounge is located in White Hall, Room G07. Whether you’re deep in homework or just need a cozy place to chill between classes, the newly renovated lounge is here for you day or night. It’s a space for our students to work, relax, and just be. Drop by anytime! To gain access to the Undergraduate Physics Lounge, you must be an undergraduate WVU student in physics and/or astronomy.
Need a quiet spot to tackle problem sets or prep for exams? We’ve got you covered with study stations, boards for brainstorming, and a small library stocked with formula sheets, references, and go-to textbooks in multiple disciplines.
Time for a break? Kick back on the couches, throw something on TV, or fire up the GameCube or Wii (yes, Smash is still here!). Prefer something low key? Grab a board game or just hang out and decompress. You deserve it!
Need a snack or a place to eat lunch? There’s a handy kitchenette with a coffee maker, hot water kettle, microwave, fridge, and sink – perfect for brewing up some caffeine, heating up your lunch, or stashing your snacks during a long day on campus.
Looking for a new organization? The Lounge is home to two of our undergraduate student organizations, the Society of Physics Students (SPS) and the Astronomy Club.
