Get Involved

The Society of Physics Students (SPS) is a chapter-based society that is open to anyone interested in physics. Regular meeting attendance is encouraged but not required. Meetings and events will be promoted via the Department's undergraduate student email listserv. No dues are necessary to join the organization. WVU SPS is a chapter of the nationwide Society of Physics Students sponsored by the American Institute of Physics.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Society of Physics Students (SPS) is to build a community of students interested in physics who gather for academic collaboration, public outreach, professional development, and recreation.

Officers

Sigma Pi Sigma

Operated by the American Institute of Physics, Sigma Pi Sigma is the national physics and astronomy honor society. Members are elected on the basis of outstanding achievement.
