Dr. Brent Shapiro-Albert is a 2021 graduate of the Ph.D. program and a Science Writer and Community Advocate for Universe Sandbox. As a student, Dr. Shapiro-Albert worked with Prof. Maura McLaughlin to study pulsars as a member of NANOgrav.

Universe Sandbox is a physics-based space simulator that "merges gravity, climate, collision, and material interactions to reveal the beauty of our universe and the fragility of our planet." The sandbox enables users to engage in real science and physics simulations without needing a supercomputer.
