ENS Jack Powers graduated in 2020 with a B.S. in Physics (Area of Emphasis: Applied Physics). Currently, ENS Powers serves as a Surface Warfare Officer - Nuclear Option in the United States Navy.

As a student at WVU, his advisor was Dr. Alan Bristow. ENS Powers shared the following advice to incoming undergraduate students: "Do not be afraid to get yourself into the undergraduate lounge your first year. The social and academic support system you get from the lounge is invaluable and will only add to your time spent at WVU.”
