Astronomy & Astrophysics

I am excited to be working on my PhD in Physics at WVU! In 2026, I completed an MS in Physics at Marshall University, where I also taught introductory astronomy and physics classes. Through the years I've had the opportunity to work on research projects in the fields of astronomical instrumentation, Solar System science, radio astronomy, and the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) with the Green Bank Observatory, the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST), the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, the UC Berkeley SETI Research Center, and the SETI Institute, for which I received the 2021 SETI Forward Award and was awarded an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship in 2025. I am passionate about astronomy / STEAM outreach and the importance of making science accessible, and am also a founding member of the nonprofit, West Virginia Alliance for STEM and the Arts and the advocacy group, Get Organized for the Green Bank Observatory (Go! GBO). I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and pets, exercising/enjoying the outdoors, baking obsessively, reading, and watching too many rom coms.
