WVU Department of Physics and Astronomy remembers professor emeritus Golubovic

Prof. Leonardo "Leo" Golubovic, who served as a professor of Physics at West Virginia University beginning in 1992, passed away on June 25, 2022.

Prof. Golubovic was a beloved faculty member in the Department of Physics and Astronomy who attained emeritus faculty status in 2021. His area of research was in condensed matter theory. Leo authored more than 70 publications, including in the prestigious Physical Review Letters and a book on statistical physics.Professor Leo Golubovic

Prof. Golubovic will be sorely missed by the Department of Physics and Astronomy, as well as the wider Mountaineer community. He inspired many generations of undergraduate and graduate students in the Physics program.
